Soaps In Depth was the first to share the news that Brittany Underwood (Langston, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) had signed on to star in the upcoming Nickelodeon primetime soap, REACH FOR A STAR, and now there are more daytimers attached to the project helmed by former GENERAL HOSPITAL executive producer Jill Farren Phelps!
The name of the 80-episode daily drama has been changed to HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS, and Underwood will star as Loren, a smart and shy high school senior who wins a songwriting contest sponsored by her celebrity crush, rock superstar Eddie, who will be played by DAYS OF OUR LIVE's Cody Longo Anthony (ex-Nicholas). The two strike up a friendship, which eventually blossoms into more. Melissa Ordway (PRIVILEGED) will play Eddie's less-than-faithful girlfriend, Chloe, and telenovela star Carlos Ponce (7th HEAVEN) has been cast as the rocker's dad. And James Franco (Franco, GH) has agreed to appear in a multi-episode arc!
HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS will begin in June as part of the cable network's Nick At Nite block.
