Lyin' Liz Strikes!

JasonLiz.jpgHas Liz won the battle for Jason?

GENERAL HOSPITAL's Elizabeth is putting that magnificent "bitch brow" back to use again! Yes, she's still got a wee bit of that brat in her that made such waves when she first came to Port Charles. Oddly enough, that luscious mane of hers that's suitable for tossing out a tower window to allow the handsome prince to climb to save her from the evil queen did not get in the way of her overhearing a private convo between sisters Sam and Kristina. The sibs were chatting it up about how Sam was still in love with Jason, yadda, yadda, yadda, when Liz had a light bulb moment -- "I'll nonchalantly mention to Lulu how Jason kissed me and put the final nail in that marriage coffin of theirs." Not a bad plan... especially since Sam bought it!

If there's one person who looks more lost in love than Sam -- if that's even possible -- it's Johnny with Carly. He's pretty much standing in his own grave just waiting for them to start shoveling the dirt in over his head. He did what any blindly lovelorn human being would do who's about to lose everything... decide to run like the wind! Considering the only thing he's got going for him right now is his relationship with Carly (and that's about to go belly up), he asked her to flee Port Charles with him. She, for all intent and purpose, said thanks but no thanks, making Johnny the most depressing character since, since, well, since evuh!

Although Sonny's bodyguards aren't the best at guarding his body (or his office, home or warehouse), it's good to know that they're good at something... like taking off their clothes while gyrating to music! Milo's got quite a nice birthday suit on under that Armani, and Connie agreed. In a not-so ladylike way. But when Olivia walked in on her cousin checking to see if Milo still had his tonsils, Connie told her she was experiencing another LSD-induced hallucination. Ha! That rates a 15 on the Best Defense For Impropriety scale of one-to-ten.

This week, we've got Sonny and Kate's wedding... with a "say what?!" twist. We've got Trey admitting to Kristina everything about his father and mother. We've got the possible beginning of Ellie/Spinelli (which is just too fun to say). Plus, we've got Liz making a shocking confession. So tune in, 2:00 ET and 1:00 PT/CT on ABC.

Monaco's Big Debut!

GENERAL HOSPITAL's Kelly Monaco (Sam) hit the dance floor last night as part of the new cast of DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS, performing a Cha Cha with partner Val Chmerkovskiy. And afterward, Soaps In Depth caught up with the actress to see how she thought she did.

"It feels great," she says of returning to the show where she was the reigning champion of the very first season. "It feels great to be prepared and get out on the dance floor and disappear into the music and sail away."

Starting DANCING while taping her last GH episodes with Steve Burton (Jason) certainly caused some heightened emotions. "I had Val come up to work a few times just to get an idea of what it is that I do every day," Monaco says. "I have been crying for like, two weeks straight now. I know this is his last week. I'm doing eight shows in three days and I'm going to have to be very emotional about it. I don't want to talk about it. I don't want to say good-bye. Hopefully he'll just go on vacation for a little bit and he'll come back to us in a couple of months."

Monaco earned a 21.5 (7,7,7.5) for the dance, although she insists that until the results are announced, she's not going to feel completely confident. "Once you feel safe, then you're in some serious trouble," she explains. "I have a really great night on the dance floor. If it's our time, then it's our time. We're going out with a bang."

It helped that she had GH co-stars like Anthony Geary (Luke), Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Kirsten Storms (Maxie), Lindsey Morgan (Kristina), Haley Alexis Pullos (Molly), Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) and executive producer Frank Valentini in the audience to cheer her on. "I am overworked and under-slept," Monaco reports. "Imagine what I could do if I had the proper amount of time to put into this?"

Don't forget to tune into the live DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS results show tonight at 8:00 pm EST to find out how Monaco fared, and whether or not she'll be back next week to compete again!

Jason And McBain Team Up!

jasonmcbain.jpgWill Jason and McBain catch Heather red-handed with Sam's baby?

Who needs the FBI, the World Security Bureau or a well-staffed police department when you've got a crime solving hit man? GENERAL HOSPITAL's Jason once again has proven he's brawn and brains... which is great news for Sam, but for Heather, nope, not so much.

Thanks to Jason "Sherlock Holmes" Morgan and his Dr. Watson (Spinelli), Sam is "this much" closer to having her baby back, Tea is "this much" closer to having a broken heart, and Heather is "this much" closer to being shipped back to a maximum security loony bin. But first, Jason has to join forces with another member of the law enforcement community who will completely overlook the fact that he's made people "disappear" for a living for more than a dozen years. Since this is GH, that reality was suspended ages ago. So, like Batman and Robin teaming up to outsmart Catwoman, Jason and John are out to end Sam's nightmare by putting her alive/well baby son back in her arms... after ripping him from Tea's!

Meanwhile, at the hospital, not one, but two new "medical professionals" are crushing on Patrick. One is a hot doctor who probably has old men lining up in the corridors begging for sponge baths, and the other is... is... Ugly Betty with a bedpan. Dr. Hotsy Totsy has that look of lust in her eyes, and playing doctor with Dr. McEverything is the mission. Will Patrick succumb to his primal urges or continue to respect the memory of his "dead" wife?

On the Mob front, as Kate's wedding day to Sonny approaches, Connie is having a field day turning her Bensonhurst side up a notch or two. Will her un-Kate-like bachelorette party that includes strippers and tequila body shots or her hard to control sassy mouth signal to Sonny and Maxie that she's not "herself"? All Connie has to do is keep herself flying under the radar until the wedding on October 1. But can she? Don't count on it!

Drama, romance, comedy. GENERAL HOSPITAL has it all this week. Don't forget to tune in! 2:00 ET and 1:00 PT/CT.

Williamson Finds HAVEN On SyFy!

Bree Williamson.jpg

ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Bree Williamson (Jessica) is joining the cast of HAVEN for the third season of the SyFy drama based on the Steven King novella The Colorado Kid, and the first episode premieres tonight!

Williamson plays Claire Callahan, a psychiatrist tasked with helping the main character Audrey, who is an FBI agent caught up in the mysterious goings-on in the unusual town of Haven, Maine. Which is the complete opposite of her psychologically-damaged OLTL alter ego! "She's really, really fun," the actress says of her new role. "She's different than anything I've ever played."

The daytime alum is also excited by the tales the supernatural drama is telling, even though she admits that she herself is not a believer in such things. "I've been extremely impressed with the episodes that I've read so far this season for HAVEN," Williamson enthuses. "The last two episodes that I read that we had table reads for were amazing."

The third season of HAVEN premieres Friday, September 21, at 10:00 pm EST on the SyFy Network. For more of Williamson's thoughts on HAVEN and what else she's up to, don't miss her interview in the new ABC issue of Soaps In Depth, on sale now!

The Stars Of GH Are Really Cooking!

Get a peek into the private lives of some of your favorite GENERAL HOSPITAL stars next week when THE CHEW launches its "Behind The Soap Screen" series starting next week.

"We are thrilled to have this opportunity to showcase our neighbors from Port Charles," says CHEW executive producer Gordon Elliott. "Daytime television is all about showcasing personalities, building relationships and storytelling, and many of the GH actors are closet gourmets. We are looking forward to having them on the show."

A visit to the home of Julie Marie Berman (Lulu) sees her and husband Michael Grady prepare one of their favorite dishes, a grilled chicken and basil pizza. Finola Hughes (Anna) shows off her vegetable garden that includes apples, plums, peaches and avocados, then prepares a feta, cherry tomato, kalamata olive creation on flatbread. Ingo Rademacher (Jax) shows off his Hawaiian abode and his recipe for the perfect avocado and scallion omelet (before taking on-screen brother Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry) for a paddleboard lesson!). Then Erik Valdez (Trey) cooks up his own spin on his grandmother's turkey taco recipe for co-star Lindsey Morgan (Kristina).

THE CHEW airs weekdays at 1:00 pm EST, directly before GENERAL HOSPITAL, and the "Behind The Soap Screen" series begins on Monday, September 24.

Tuc Watkins Wants You!

ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Tuc Watkins (David) wants you to join him and co-stars Kassie DePaiva (Blair), John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex), Melissa Archer (Natalie), Hillary B. Smith (Nora) and Trevor St. John (Victor) in Loving Llanview!

While this will be Watkins' first time on stage for the Loving Llanview fan event, he's not worried. "I'm just gonna sort of wing it," he chuckles. "But I figure with those great castmembers and a nice crowd, it'll be fun to reminisce about the good old days of ONE LIFE TO LIVE. I'm really looking forward to it. It's sort of like going back to a high school reunion in a way... but high school reunions don't have reunions every six months!"

Joining his former castmates on stage for the two hour tribute is something the actor is really looking forward to. "Kassie and Kathy Brier (Marcie) and Bobbie Eakes (Krystal, ALL MY CHILDREN) have a show called the Divas Of Daytime, and I hosted their show in Palm Springs a couple of months ago," Watkins explains. "And John-Paul and I play poker together now that he lives in Los Angeles. But I haven't seen Trevor or Melissa or Hillary since the show's been over. So I'm looking forward to seeing those guys."

But he also wants to see you, the fans... and especially to relive the good — and bad — times. "Coming to Loving Llanview is a great opportunity to bring artifacts that are reminders of bad hairstyles and poor clothing choices over the years," Watkins says with a laugh. "A lot of times fans will show up with a picture where I had a mullet or where I wore shoulder pads in a jacket... it's a good reminder that we're all human, we all make mistakes and it's fun to see those time capsules.

"Also, the fans remember the great storylines that I was involved in that may have slipped through the cracks in my brain," he adds. "And it's always fun to hear the fans' point of view of those storylines. So this is a good forum to have a conversation about great stories of the past."

Loving Llanview will be held on Friday, October 12 at 7:00 pm at the Stamford Center Ffor The Arts' Palace in Stamford, CT, Saturday, October 13, at 7:00 pm at 7:00 pm at the Akoo Theater at Rosemont in Rosemont, IL, and on Sunday, October 14, at 2:00 pm at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrivllville, IN. Tickets can be bought from the Web site or by calling (866) 364-0330. So join him, won't you?

GH's Ingle Passes Away

Beloved GENERAL HOSPITAL veteran John Ingle (Edward) died last night following a battle with cancer. The actor, who was 84, made his final GH appearance last Tuesday, September 11. One of his daughters just posted the following message on Facebook: "Father, Husband, Grandan, Great Grandan, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Teacher, Inspirer, Mentor: May You Soar with the Angels. You will forever hold a special place in the deepest corners of our hearts. You were joy, light and love. Goodness at its very best. For the rest of our days, we will all do our best to continue to make you proud. Rest in peace and continue to spread your generous spirit in the heavens above."

Prior to launching his acting career in the early '80s, Ingle was a drama teacher at Beverly Hills and Hollywood high schools, where some of his students included FAMILY TIES star Meredith Baxter, PARENTHOOD's Richard Dreyfuss, DYNASTY's Linda Evans, MIKE & MOLLY's Swoosie Kurtz, FRIENDS star David Schwimmer and Nicolas Cage. Ingle took over the role of the cantankerous Quartermaine family patriarch from predecessor David Lewis in 1993. He later played DAYS OF OUR LIVES' Mickey Horton from 2004-'06, but reclaimed his GH role from Jed Alan later that year and has been playing Edward ever since. Even while working in daytime, the Tulsa, OK, native also had recurring roles on THE LAND BEFORE TIME, THE DREW CAREY SHOW and HBO's BIG LOVE. He also appeared as Edward on the GH spin-off PORT CHARLES.

Ingle is survived by his five daughters, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sadly, his beloved wife, Grace-Lynn, passed away in February of this year. Our condolences go out to his family at this difficult time.

Broken Hearts On GH!

Two words describe Friday's episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL: "uh" and "oh."

That's right. "Uh oh" for JaSam fans, who were clinging to hope of a happy ending for Stone Cold and his lady in black when Steve Burton leaves his role in the next month or so. Just when Sam was ready to kiss and make up with Jason, she spotted him kissing and making out with Elizabeth!

"Uh oh" for Kate fans but "woo HOO" for Connie followers. Kate not only lost her psychiatrist, but it looks as if she's about to lose her mind... again! Just a short sneaky peak at Trey's religious medal flips her out and has her flashing back to her traumatic encounter with his father, Joe Jr. If she knows her arithmetic the way Bill Clinton would like her to, she can add it up in her head: Joe Jr. + rape + his son X your abandoned son = gasp! Trey? Will Kate finally get the picture?

"Uh oh" for Tracy, who is about to have her heart broken again, thanks to that mobster-wannabe-turned-antiques-dealer-with-the-great-head-of-hair. She can really pick 'em. A woman her age (and with that much money) should know better than to sleep with a man repeatedly without so much as grabbing his last name somewhere along the line. Duh. And "uh oh" for Spixie fans. The Jackal so very clearly has met a cute, quirky girl who is a match. Ellie, the lab tech.

Will Sam and Jason spend their first anniversary renewing their commitment or calling it quits? Will Kate go totally off her rocker, leaving Connie in charge of her and Sonny's wedding? Will Tracy trust her heart or listen to her head where Joe is concerned? And will Spinelli have two gals fighting over him, or will Maxie give up?

LOTS of reasons to tune in for GENERAL HOSPITAL, 2:00 ET and 1:00 PT/CT on ABC!

A GH Week NOT To Miss!

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for ghEpisode12637_961608.jpg

GH goes on location for a week that will blow you away!

If that amazing promo ABC is running is an indication of things to come, GENERAL HOSPITAL is in for one action-packed, emotionally charged, "that couldn't possibly be done on a Daytime drama budget" week! Tell your family, friends and neighbors who have checked out of "the hospital" that it's time to check back in!

There's more cookin' on GH than on the Food Channel! Last week left off with the entire town of Port Charles (minus Alexis, Tracy and little Josslyn) with 24 hours to live, thanks to Jerry's evil plot. As the poison in their system continued to raise temperatures, Todd, Sonny, Jax, Carly and Johnny pooled their considerable millions to pay off the miscreant in exchange for the antigen that would save the city. Gathered in a warehouse on the docks (shot on location in Long Beach, CA), Sonny and Carly expressed their undying bond, Todd considered telling Sam that her baby was alive so she could die in peace, and Jax overheard something about Johnny having lied to Carly for months. And then it got interesting. Jerry showed up, holding Alexis at gunpoint, saying he was taking her with him!

And there were even more cliffhangers to end the week!

Jason discovered proof that the baby that Sam buried as her own couldn't possibly have been the product of her and Franco, Patrick wondered why in the world Ewen's last word before dying was "Robin," and Heather had that crazy "I'm gonna whip up some tasty iced tea and steal this baby" look in her eye while snuggling Victor Jr. in Llanview!

Who will live, who will die, who will escape and whose life will change forever? Whatever you do, do not forget to set your DVRs for GH's new time slot in your area! 2:00 ET and 1:00 PT/CT.

And spread the word... GENERAL HOSPITAL is back and NOT to be missed!

Martinez Returns To The Military!

Set your DVR! Real life veteran-turned-soap star J.R. Martinez (Brot) is the latest ALL MY CHILDREN alumnus to appear on Lifetime's ARMY WIVES. In the episode, which airs Sunday, September 9, at 10:00 pm EST, he'll play the tough-as-nails physical therapist that motivates Kevin to recover from his injuries. "[He needs to] understand that at the end of the day, he's in my facility to get better and he's not the general, I am!" Martinez grins.
