Details regarding ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE's new lives online continue to trickle in. Today, Prospect Park revealed that they have reached a distribution agreement with both Hulu and the iTunes store for the soaps. Through Hulu, AMC and OLTL will reach fans connected via their computers, smart TV's, mobile phones and tablets. iTunes customers can view episodes on their iPhones, iPads or iPod Touches as well as their Mac or PC.
"I believe that both Hulu and iTunes have the vision, the reach and the technology to help us launch The Online Network in a significant way," Kwatinetz said. "We think these platforms are part of history, helping us to transform distribution. Hulu's reach, platform and advertising prowess are best in class, and iTunes provides an incredible way to buy TV shows that is second to none. Through both of these partners, we hope daytime drama fans are absolutely delighted to be able to watch their favorite programs in a broadcast-quality HD format wherever and whenever they want."
Starting this spring, viewers will be able to stream episodes of AMC and OLTL via Hulu and iTunes as the new 30-minute episodes are released each weekday. While iTunes and Hulu Plus are pay services, streaming via the Web will be free on Hulu.com. So you'll still be able to watch your favorite soaps free of charge (as long as you sit through some ads) just like on the TV! We will continue to bring you more details as they are released!
