GH Donates Toys For Tots!

GHToys4Tots.jpg

This week, GENERAL HOSPITAL participated in Disney/ABC's "Share The Joy" campaign with Toys For Tots by not only including the charity in a scene on-screen, but donating in reality, as well!

In the Thursday, December 18, episode, Rebecca Herbst's Elizabeth donated a toy to the Toys For Tots box in the hospital, but behind the scenes, the cast and crew donated toys to the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation. And on Wednesday, December 17, GH executive producer Frank Valentini and the cast presented the toys they'd collected to the marines at the soap's studio in Los Angeles.

The charity was popular among the cast, especially the younger actors. In fact, Nicolas Bechtel (Spencer) announced that he would take the $112 that he had saved in his piggy bank to help buy presents to donate to Toys For Tots!

GH Recap: Uh Oh, Johnny Drops A Bomb!

SonnyJohnny.jpg

When it comes to a face-to-face combat for the title of Mob Kingpin of Port Charles, GENERAL HOSPITAL's Johnny made Sonny "an offer he can't refuse."

Johnny always had the gift of finding Sonny's nerve center and then giving it a painful and substantial pinch. The battling baddies behind bars had no choice but to share space from time to time, and Johnny made the most of it by pushing Sonny's buttons. But Sonny took it for only so long. He finally slammed the Z-man up against the cell door and put a shiv against his throat. "It feels like it's all about to change once I cut your tongue out and make it into a trophy," Sonny warned.

Sonny finally cooled his jets. "Sensible decision, Sonny," Johnny sneered. "I'm about to give you the chance to make another one." And then came Johnny's deal: Sonny's organization needed running and who better to run it than Johnny? But Johnny wasn't asking; he was telling. If Sonny didn't agree to it, he'd live to regret it! "If you don't, I'm gonna cut up your brother piece by measly piece," Johnny threatened. "That's right. Ric's alive, and I got him!"

Franco snuck out of his secluded Canadian studio with the baby rolled up in a blanket. When he reached the outdoors, Dante and two Mounties were waiting for him. Franco tried to make a run for it but ran smack into Morgan, Kiki, Silas and Ava, who demanded the baby. "You want her so bad?" Franco asked. "Catch!" With that, he threw the baby on the ground and everyone screamed. But it wasn't a baby. It was a bag of flour!

Silas, meanwhile, announced himself to Nina through the closed door. Hopeful but cautious, Nina opened it with baby Jaime snuggled in her arms. Silas said everything she ever wanted to hear from him. "You, me and our child?" he told her. "So what do ya say? May I please hold our daughter?" Nina handed him the baby. It was a moment of bliss... but only a moment.

Within seconds, Morgan and Ava rushed in. Morgan threw his arms around Nina to restrain her while Silas handed Ava her daughter. Nina flew into a hysteria. "My baby!" she screamed repeatedly. As Ava and Morgan left with the infant, Silas held Nina close. She bawled and beat his back until she finally calmed. Outside, Dante came up behind Ava, cuffed her and arrested her for Connie's murder!

Carly was a blubbering mess about Sonny's rejection and needed to drown her sorrows in something strong in the Metro Court bar. Jake was there and he listened to her every word, not saying much, just as Jason would have. But when he did speak up, telling her that Sonny sending her off was the only power he had left, her burden began to lift.

When Carly turned around, Carlos was there, staring at her. He was not happy that she knew Sonny was guilty of killing A.J. but she let Carlos go to prison for it. She went to walk away, but Carlos grabbed her arm and barked, "I want you to suffer the way I did!" With that, Jake grabbed Carlos' head and smashed it into a table, ordering him to apologize to her. Carly gasped in shock! She was surprised by Jake's actions but was relieved that he had her back.

Monday on GENERAL HOSPITAL, Carly confronts Franco, Nina and Ava become too close for comforts, and Sonny gets Johnny where he wants him... or does he? Don't forget: 3:00 ET and 2:00 PST/CT on ABC. Be there!

GH's Preston Ascends!

Preston.jpg

The SYFY network invites you to head back to the 60s and then out into space in their highly anticipated, three-consecutive-night miniseries event, ASCENSION. In it, GENERAL HOSPITAL's own Cynthia Preston (ex-Faith) plays the wife of a man (Gil Bellows, ALLY MCBEAL) whose father had founded a top-secret mission on an interstellar spaceship that was deemed a lifeboat for humanity. But 50 years into their efforts to populate a new world, the unprecedented and mysterious murder of a young woman leads the voyagers to question their mission, and the man to want to continue his father's work.

"I had a great time working with Gil. He is an extremely kind and generous actor," Preston tells Soaps In Depth. "Though my time on set was brief, I felt like I'd made a friend." The mini-series, which stars BATTLESTAR GALACTICA's Tricia Helfer as a dangerous powerbroker and wife of the ship's captain, was directed by Preston's fellow Canadian, Stephen Williams (LOST). "I really enjoyed meeting and working with Stephen, as well as Philip Levens, the executive producer/show runner," Preston offers. "It was a really relaxed, creative set to work on, and ASCENSION was a great pleasure to be involved with."

The three-night, six-hour event airs at 9 p.m. EST beginning Monday, December 15, on SYFY.

Farewell To The Britch!

Parry Shen (Brad) posted this tribute video to his departing GENERAL HOSPITAL co-star Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) with highlights from Brad and Britt's unique friendship. (And a cameo appearance from the original Brad!)

The actress posted a farewell message of her own to Instagram that read: "Hey you beautiful, awesome people! It's been so hard reading all your tweets about me leaving the show and not being able to respond! I wanted to wait till my last episode aired to say my good-byes. And here we are... What a fun and challenging adventure this has been! It went by too fast. I decided not to re-sign my contract because I would like to book other roles on primetime shows and film. You have to follow your dreams, right? Thank you for all the love and support. I hope you will continue to follow me on to the next adventure! I love you all! - Britch"

GH headwriter Ron Carlivati responded by tweeting: "We are going to miss The Britch, but we are going to miss Kelly Thiebaud even more! Best of luck with your next chapter, Kelly!"

GH Recap: Faison Busts Patrick!

FaisonPatrickSam.jpg

Faison looked pleased with himself for causing trouble for Sam and Patrick. The revelation that Jason survived the gunshot and that Patrick knew about it not only shocked Sam but it also infuriated her. Patrick tried to catch up with her as she ran out of the PCPD interrogation room crying. He explained that Victor forced Robin to do research for him or he was going to let Jason die. Jason did, however, die anyway. Sam pushed Patrick around as she yelled and screamed. She argued that maybe she could've done something or, at the very least, tell Jason that Danny was his son. Patrick begged for her forgiveness but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

Helena approached Jake on the pier with surprising news for him. She began with telling him how Patrick's wife, Robin, saved his life. Jake didn't remember it, of course. "You don't remember a great many things," Helena was happy to say. Then she dropped the bomb: he was Jason Morgan and during his stay at Crichton-Clark, he was conditioned to take her orders. And now, she had a job for him!

Back at the PCPD, Anna grilled Faison. She had her fill of him and told him so much. "No amount of torture or manipulation or lies you tell or people you kill, it's never gonna make me love you," she said. Oddly enough, he seemed to be okay with that, saying, "You should rejoice. The spell is broken." Anna was confused. He made himself clearer, adding, "There's no challenge to you anymore. You're not worthy of my love."

Shortly thereafter, Anna and a couple of officers escorted Faison out the PCPD's back door as Sam watched. Then, suddenly, a masked man grabbed her from behind!

Fluke toyed with Luke, who was tied to a chair and unable to fight back. "Unfortunately, the PCPD has already apprehended your imposter. And, typically for them and unfortunately for you, they got the wrong man," Fluke grinned triumphantly. If Fluke wasn't Larry Ashton and he wasn't Faison, Luke wondered who the heck he was! Fluke tugged at his own cheek, proving there was no mask. "I suppose extensive plastic surgery could explain it. Or maybe it's something more complex, something less scientific, something more... mysterious," Fluke said cryptically. Luke had plenty of time to figure it out while Fluke was busy living Luke's life!

In the prison weight room, Sonny was haunted by Michael's hate-filled words of rejection. Carlos approached him, laughing at the fact that Sonny was finally a caged animal. Although he was furious that he went to prison for a crime Sonny committed, Carlos was also a very happy man because he was getting out of that hellhole... today! But Carlos wasn't the only familiar face in Pentonville. Johnny was there, too! While Obrecht was convincing Britt to leave town with her and Faison, Sabrina was apologizing to Michael for telling him of her suspicion that Ava killed A.J. She also mentioned that she got fired from GH!

Monday on GH, shots are fired, Patrick has a heart-to-heart with Carly, and Sonny learns a thing or two about who's in charge at Pentonville! Don't forget: 3:00 ET and 2:00 PST/CT on ABC. Be there!

Spend Christmas With The Bay!

MartinezDaviesBay.jpg

Throughout December, the award-winning Web drama THE BAY will return with two more exciting chapters of story which will be told weekly over the course of eight 20-minute episodes. The chapters will feature another tragic death, as well as address last summer's cliffhangers. Will Lianna (Jade Harlow, ex-Sheryl, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) find out about Janice's (Lilly Melgar, ex-Lily, GENERAL HOSPTIAL) scintillating affair with young Peter? Will Lex (Tristan Rogers, Colin, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) reveal the identity of the person that he thinks Peter's socialite mom, Sara (Mary Beth Evans, Kayla, DAYS) killed? And how might the return of Liza (ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Ilene Kristen, Roxy) affect his recent efforts to revive his relationship with Sara?

To help play out all of these storylines and more, a host of new faces will be joining the cast. "Alicia Leigh Willis (ex-Courtney, GH) and Eric Nelsen (A.J., ALL MY CHILDREN) will play Sara's niece and nephew, Avery and Daniel, respectively," series creator Gregori J. Martin reveals. "Lindsay Hartley (Cara, AMC; ex-Arianna, DAYS) is coming in as a woman from Marly's (Martha Madison, ex-Belle, DAYS) past, Eric Martsolf (Brady, DAYS) will appear in flashback as a younger Lee Nelson, and Judith McConnell (Sophia, SANTA BARBARA) will bring to life a role that fans have been anticipating for years!"

However, the news that has the Internet buzzing is that soap opera veteran A Martinez (best known as SB's Cruz) reunited with former castmates Lane Davies (Mackenzie; Mason, SB) and Nicolas Coster (Jack; Lionel, SB) on set when he taped his December 16 appearance on the show. "I'm playing Janice's father, Nardo. I'm trying to get information out of Lane's [police detective] character, whom the family thinks is not being forthcoming," Martinez offers. "And I got to be the voice of reason with Janice, as is a father's wont to do." Tune in to catch the first two new episodes, which will be released back to back, on Thursday, December 4, at 3 p.m. EST.

GH Recap: What's Helena Got Up Her Sleeve NOW?

LukeHelena.jpg

Thanksgiving brings with it family reunions, lurking villains and, of course, pizza with the Quartermaines!

Julian made good on his promise to Alexis and brought her to Miscavige to see Luke. When the door was opened to his padded room, she was shocked to see her old friend drugged and constrained in a straightjacket. She took a good chunk of the hour-long show to unbuckle and free him while he told her of his doppelganger. Seeing Julian in the doorway, Luke chewed him out for being in on the plot and shouted, "Run, Jerome. Run like a rat!"

Helena showed up at Liz's but it was Jake who greeted her. Her face was familiar but he didn't know why. He stepped into the kitchen to retrieve Liz and tell her about the visitor who remained nameless to him. But when they returned to the living room, Helena had disappeared. Shortly thereafter, Sam and Emma arrived with Patrick and Danny following closely behind. Danny and Jake seemed to instantly connect, much to Liz's delight. Sam, on the other hand, looked a little uncomfortable. Or maybe she was just afraid of Liz's cooking.

Obrecht showed up at Wyndemere with "a noodle dish" and a chip on her shoulder about Anna. Little did she know that Faison was spying on her and Britt from a nearby window. As Nathan arrived to join the holiday celebration, Helena caught Faison lurking outside. She bossed him around, he bit her head off, and she went off on her merry way. Moments later, Obrecht was alone in the room when she turned and saw her beloved Faison in the flesh!

The whole Agent Sloane/Faison/hole in the ground thing had given Anna quite a nasty headache, which only got worse when Duke walked in her office. His release from prison didn't change anything between them. He had found out via a rambling message from Obrecht what Anna and Robert had done to Faison. Duke likened his lying about Sonny to her lying to him about Faison. Although the word "poppycock" didn't come out of Anna's mouth, that's what her response summed up to be. For the sake of their relationship, Duke could forgive her, but she still couldn't forgive him. They were over.

Carly didn't want Sonny to spend Thanksgiving alone so she paid him a visit at Pentonville. He assured her that the guards and the prisoners hadn't messed with him so his name must still hold weight. Even though she was conflicted about giving him bad news, she broke it to him that Michael moved into the Quartermaine mansion and legally changed his last name. Emotionally hitting bottom, Sonny told her to go be with her family and then, after sharing one last glance, he left.

Thanksgiving at the Quartermaine's was kicked off with Olivia cheerfully arriving with a humongous box of cannoli. Monica joined the party with the announcement that Cook 2 was hit with food poisoning so the entire dinner had to be thrown out. That meant one thing: pizza! After everyone began to chow down, Alexis showed up and announced that there was someone they'd all want to see... and Luke walked in behind her!

Monday on GH, Luke's family reunion kicks off, Obrecht reacts to seeing Faison and Julian tells Jordan who's in charge! Don't forget: 3:00 ET and 2:00 PST/CT on ABC. Be there!

It's A Girl For GH's LoCicero!

Lisa_LoCicero70971.jpg If GENERAL HOSPITAL's Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) wasn't already elated enough about expecting her second child next May, learning the baby's sex has her over the moon! "I've just gotten my head around the fact that I'm having a girl!" she beams.

"I was 100 percent certain it was a boy based on a wonderful psychic that Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) sent me to two years ago," the expectant mom says. "[The seer] said, 'There is a baby here that's trying to be born.' She had no idea that at the time I was thinking about having another one. She referred to it as 'him' and then explained his personality. She said I would get pregnant shortly before I turned 45... and she was exactly right! I mean, except for the boy part," LoCicero laughs.

LoCicero and her husband, Michael, have been trying to give their 13-year-old son, Lukas, a sibling for quite some time now, so the news was especially surprising. "Without going too much into it, it was sort of like the story that so many people have," she says. "Almost immediately after kind of giving up and saying, 'All right, one kid is plenty,' I literally got pregnant the next day. So we were pretty psyched."

Will LoCicero's pregnancy mean that Olivia will also be expecting a little bundle of joy? For the time being, GH is remaining tight-lipped.

GH Recap: Luke Faces Off With Fluke!

LukeInMiscavige.jpg

Anna's former protégée and current agent at the justice department, Kyle Sloane, was gung ho about prosecuting her for Faison's murder, and Obrecht was eager to help. There was, however, a crimp in their plan. "Faison is alive and I can prove it," the commish said. Although O wanted desperately to believe it, she couldn't and wouldn't get her hopes up, only for them to be dashed.

Anna told them the whole story, how she and Robert confronted Faison the night of Nikolas' engagement party. Aching to put an end to Faison's reign of terror, Anna was prepared to kill him. "I wanted to put my hands around his throat and squeeze," she said, adding, "I was this close... but I didn't do it." Anna would prove that she was telling the truth by taking Sloane and Obrecht to the place where she and Robert had held Faison captive all this time -- in a cell on Spoon Island that could be accessed through the Wyndemere stables. When they got there, Anna lifted a mat off the floor and revealed a trap door. When they opened the entrance to the underground dungeon, it was empty!

While Lulu distracted Larry at the Quartermaine mansion, Patrick and Sam posed as husband and wife to get into Larry's safe deposit box at the bank. With a lock pick and a duplicate key, she opened the box, only to find another locked box inside! Their investigation was cut short when Larry showed up to get into the same container. When he opened the inner box, he smiled, as if his mission had been accomplished. After he left, Patrick and Sam went back in to finish their task. She opened the inner box and couldn't believe her eyes. Inside was a photo of, you guessed it, Cesar Faison!

Alexis' arrival to see Julian in a PCPD cell put a smile on his face. She, however, was as cold as ice. Her only reason for being there was because Lucas made a good case to do so. Julian confessed his undying love and said, "I'm ready to name names." He went on to say that he worked for Luke, but also that Luke was not really Luke!

In a padded room at Miscavige, a straightjacket Luke laid dozing on a cot. An orderly came in and popped a pill in his mouth. After the orderly left, Luke spit it out and sat up. He flashed back to his encounter with Fluke calling him helpless. Completely lucid, Luke said out loud to himself, "Not anymore." This was the day he was determined to break out of this joint and find the snake that put him there! Thinking of Fluke's assertion that he bedded Tracy, Luke went crazy, tugging and pulling at the jacket. Then, like King Kong breaking free from the chains that bound him, with one last guttural scream, the jacket flew off! Using the buckle from the jacket as a lock pick, Luke opened the door, only to find an angry Fluke staring back at him!

On Monday's GH, Anna is puzzled by Faison's disappearance, Jordan is confronted by a familiar face, and Julian has even more shocking news for Alexis! Don't forget: 3:00 ET and 2:00 PST/CT on ABC. Be there!

GH Recap: Anna Shocks Obrecht!

ObrechtAnna.jpg

Franco did his darndedst to talk Nina into accepting that the baby wasn't hers (and Silas never would be again), but she wasn't particularly interested in that. Instead, she insisted that Ava owed her the baby, which she had every intention of keeping. Franco managed to make her accept the truth, which left her a broken woman. "I'm not in pain," she uttered tearfully. "I wish I were. I'm not in any pain. I'm empty. I'm like a shell. If I don't have Silas and I don't have the baby, I have nothing." Proving himself the best darn friend a lunatic could ever have, Franco replied that she had him. But once they agreed to move forward, it left a big question hanging in the air: What to do with the baby?

Patrick and Sam convinced Lulu to keep Larry busy while they snuck into Larry's safe deposit box to find out what he was hiding. With the story of her being on the run being splashed all over the media, Ava tried to keep Silas from finding out she was a wanted woman. (And who wouldn't want the minx, given how gorgeous she looked! How is it that Ava is better dressed and coifed on the run than most of us are after a spa-and-shopping day?) Ava suggested she and Silas work together to find Nina and the baby. Lucas visited his jailed dad and Alexis later swung by, too. Britt told Nikolas that she was going to try and find out what happened to her father. Agent Sloane scored big points with Obrecht by telling Anna he intended to prove she killed Faison. But Anna shocked the agent — not to mention Obrecht — by declaring "Faison is alive!"

GH Recap: Sonny Pleads Guilty!

SonnyDianeJail.png

Upon discovering that Ava had fled the hospital, Michael took his frustration out on Kiki. "Not only are you a liar," he barked, "but you're an idiot, too!" Morgan tried to prevent Michael from trash-talking Kiki, but wound up joining her on the receiving end of his brother's anger. "You two are a regular brain trust," Michael spat, "aren't you?" Determined to find Ava, Anna had Julian dragged — quite literally — down to the station. Ava, meanwhile, turned up on Silas' doorstep. Before he could even say, "Hey, they found your baby yet?", Ava demanded that he hide her. (Ava must be saving a fortune on rent with all this couch surfing!)

Heading into court, Diane told Sonny and Carly to keep their lips so zipped that the only words that could escape were "not" and "guilty." Despite this, the judge denied Carly bail. Sonny struck a deal, agreeing to plead guilty if the charges against Carly were dropped. Jordan and Shawn told T.J. that they'd had an affair behind his father's back. In the understatement of the year, Jordan declared that the tryst had been "a mistake." Shawn insisted that Thomas had pulled a gun on him, and that he'd killed him in self-defense. Shawn and Jordan insisted that T.J. was definite Thomas' son. (The look on Jordan's face, however, indicated she might have told a whopper where her son's paternity is concerned!) Sam and Patrick overheard Larry talking to Jerry and, when not talking louder than they probably should have from a few feet away, heard him mention a safe deposit box. While Patrick distracted Larry (with booze... smart man!), Sam made a copy of the key to the safe deposit box using Danny's Silly Putty!

GH Recap: Michael Seals Sonny's Fate!

SonnyJail.jpg

Obrecht told Patrick he could have his job back, but reprimanded him for responding by hugging Sam. "Take your display of affection elsewhere!" she snapped. Obrecht later met with Britt and, after greeting her with a slap, blackmailed her daughter. How? By threatening to tell Nikolas the truth about Britt's involvement in Spencer's disappearance unless she helped Agent Sloane bring down Anna for Faison's murder.

Michael declared himself a Quartermaine and made it clear he wasn't about to let Tracy or Larry take over the family business. Despite Diane's pleas that he not, Sonny had Shawn give Michael the tape proving he killed A.J. and Ava killed Connie. Playing the tape, Michael and Monica finally knew that A.J. had been innocent. Well, of Connie's murder, anyway. Monica and Ned went to give A.J. the best possible birthday present — word that he'd been exonerated. Of course, this birthday present would have been way more awesome were A.J. still, you know, alive. Kiki called her mama out for having killed Connie. (Ava's response, "I know it was wrong," may have been the understatement of the week, at least so far!) She ran into Michael at GH just as he was handing the incriminating audiotape over to Anna. After listening to it, Anna went to arrest Ava only to find her hospital bed empty.

Nikolas and Spencer had a long chat about honesty and chocolate. For a second, it looked as if Spencer might throw Britt under the bus, but he changed his mind at the last minute. Shawn and Jordan sat T.J. down and prepared to tell him the truth about his father. Sam and Patrick snuck up to the conveniently-unlocked patio door of the Quartermaine living room and opened it enough to overhear the phone call on which Larry warned Jerry that they had a problem. With it looking as if Duke and Carly were going to be sent to Pentonville, Alexis told Sonny, "You are going down, and you are taking everybody with you!"

James Franco is no longer playing Franco on GENERAL HOSPITAL, but his mother, Betsy Franco, is still going to be playing the character's mom! The soap has confirmed that the actress will be returning as Betsy Franco/Karen Anderson, although at this time we don't have a first airdate or any idea how long her stint will be. How do you think Betsy will react to Franco's latest crimes?

GH Recap: Michael Changes His Name!

MichaelTracy.jpg

Jake moved in with Liz. He felt as if there was something familiar about a photo of Jason, and later bonded with Cameron over the youngster's homework. Patrick headed to the hospital to find out whether or not he would be reinstated. Agent Stone hoped Britt would help him bring down Anna for the murder of Faison. Following another showdown with Anna, Obrecht was approached by Sloane. Michael visited his jailed parents and made it clear they were basically dead to him. He did, however, want one thing from Sonny: the tape proving that Ava, not A.J., killed Connie. Despite knowing it would seal his fate, Sonny promised that he'd have Shawn deliver the tape. Sonny and Carly declared their love for Michael, but he spat that neither of them knew the meaning of the word. Larry suggested that Tracy should be put in charge of ELQ. As Tracy said they needed to boot Michael from the company, the troubled young man entered and told everyone that from now on, he'd be going by Michael Quartermaine!

Making A BOLD Move?

Thiebaud3.jpg

Is Kelly Thiebaud jumping ship as GENERAL HOSPITAL's Britt to tackle the role of Steffy on THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL?

While ABC does not comment on actor contracts, sources tell Soaps In Depth that Thiebaud had opted not to sign a new deal with GH, and has been on recurring status with the soap until her character could ultimately be written out. Rumor has it that B&B swooped in and made the actress an offer she couldn't refuse!

Alas, the rumor is exactly that, and nothing more. A spokesperson for the CBS soap tells In Depth that there is no truth to it, and that Thiebaud will not be joining the cast of B&B as Steffy Forrester.

Sonny Faces The Music!

SonnyJail.jpg

Miss Friday's GENERAL HOSPITAL? We'll catch you up. Read on...

Carly and Sonny always made the best of their alone time together. It usually included some kind of heart-to-heart conversation, which would, invariably, lead to their bodies doing the talking! This time around, only half of that was possible, as two sets of jail cell bars separated them. "I lost him, Carly. I lost our son," he mourned. "He has every right to hate me."

Sonny listened attentively as Carly recounted the look on Michael's face when he saw and heard Sonny's taped confession of killing A.J. And then there was that hideous necklace with the hidden camera that Franco gave her as an engagement present. If only she trusted her sense of fashion and hadn't worn it every second of every day, Franco wouldn't have had the documented evidence used to destroy their family.

"It's not really Franco's fault. It's all my fault," Sonny lamented. He knew that pushing Franco was like poking a stick at a caged lion, but he did it anyway. "I was just too headstrong, too arrogant and too afraid to lose what we had," he said of his and Carly's relationship. It was now over between the two of them, not because he wanted it that way, but rather because the devastation was too great. "I love you, Sonny," she said softly. "I love you, too," he answered, "but sometimes love just isn't enough."

Despite knowing everything Franco had already done and was capable of doing, Carly defended him until the moment he showed the video at their wedding. For that, she apologized to Sonny, and he accepted. Now they had to worry about Duke and if he'd give Scotty Baldwin the ammo needed to seal Sonny's fate. At the PCPD, Duke conferred with Alexis, his attorney in the matter, courtesy of Lucy Coe. Alexis told him that the way to get the charges against him dropped was simple -- testify against Sonny. Duke adamantly refused.

While Duke was refusing to roll over Sonny, Michael was just about to roll over Rosalie... again... and in a much more pleasant way! Kiki, however, let herself into Michael's apartment and walked in on them about to the do the nasty. Rather than march out horrified, she stuck around.

"We'd like to get back to what we were doing, so if you don't mind," Michael said, shooing away his girlfriend and snuggling up to his bed buddy. Awkward! Rosalie gathered her clothes and made a hasty retreat. Michael was in no way about to forgive Kiki for keeping it from him that Sonny killed A.J. "I don't love you. Not anymore," he said coldly.

While Jake was finding something oddly familiar about photos of Alan, Edward and Lila on a wall of honor at GH, Nikolas and Britt were visited by Agent Sloane, an investigator with the justice department looking into corruption at the WSB. One file they found while Victor was in command was on Faison. As it turned out, Obrecht was right. Faison was not at Steinmauer. In fact, the file suggested that Robert and Anna murdered him! The only way to prove that case required Britt's assistance!

Monday on GH, Michael has a request of Sonny, a look at a photo of Jason brings up new questions for Jake, and Patrick learns his future at the hospital! Don't forget: 3:00 ET and 2:00 PST/CT on ABC. Be there!

Johnny's Back! Is Britt Out?

BarashThiebaud.jpg

As first reported by Daytime Confidential, Brandon Barash will be returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL as Johnny! A rep for the soap has confirmed his appearance, but with no details. But it would seem to be a short arc, so it's more likely someone will be visiting Johnny in Pentonville instead of the mobster being released from prison!

We're also hearing that Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix), John J. York (Mac) and Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) are being dropped to recurring status with the show. This isn't terribly surprising, as GH does have a lot of contract players — more than it can find time for on-screen. However, there is additional buzz that says that Thiebaud is actually on her way out of Port Charles permanently. We'll keep you up to date on any new information as we get it! Stay tuned!

New Couple Alert?

LucyDuke.jpg

Even as GENERAL HOSPITAL's Anna was arresting Duke, a horrified Lucy did her best to prevent her favorite Scotsman from being hauled to prison. Which got us thinking... Lucy and Duke have been spending an awful lot of time supporting one another through their various (and numerous!) problems of late. Might the show be thinking of pairing Lynn Herring's daffy alter ego with that of Ian Buchanan? And if so, might that clear the way for Anna to make another play for Tracy's man, Luke... assuming, of course, that he ever manages to get away from the mysterious Fluke? So much to ponder, and we're dying to hear your thoughts, so sound off below!

And The Wedding From Hell Begins!

CarlyFrancoWed.jpg

Did you miss Friday's GENERAL HOSPITAL? No problem. Here's a blow by blow of all the excitement!

Franco promised Carly a wedding day she'd never forget, and that's what he served up! She was already p.o.'d at her groom by the time he showed up, and it wasn't because he was a tad tardy. No. Spencer's arm was twisted until he blabbed that Franco tried to access Carly's E-mail to get the goods on Sonny. When the smiley-faced schemer finally arrived, his greeting of "Show time!" was not received with applause. Carly pulled him aside and confronted him.

Franco admitted that, yes, he was looking for the recording of Sonny confessing that he killed A.J., but it wasn't for himself; it was for Ava. That was the truth, actually. Just not the whole truth. He professed that his suspicion of her relationship with Sonny was a thing of the past. "You never did anything to make me not trust you, right?" he asked. "No," she whispered. Good thing she was wearing a dress because liar, liar, her pants would have been on fire!

Finally, the ceremony began. Carly reemerged looking absolutely gorgeous in a white gown. Yes, white. No comment. Flower girl Josslyn walked down the aisle and threw the rose pedals like she was throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium. Lucas extended his arm to Carly and escorted her to her husband-to-be.

Eyes wandered to the others guests when Lucy, who was officiating the ceremony, gave her "speak now or forever hold your peace" speech. Joss spoke up but Lucy immediately cut her off. After Felix read a Shakespearean passage, then came the "I do's." Carly's mind wandered off to Sonny before saying those two tiny words. Franco, however, responded with an icy, "Hell no. Why would I marry a lying, cheating whore?" Ouch.

Across town, Morgan's persistence made Sonny final blurt that the reason he wanted Ava dead was because she killed Connie. Morgan, of course, didn't want to believe it but he had to when Sonny played him the recording. Morgan not only understood his father's reasoning, he felt guilty that Sonny had to deal with that reality alone. Sonny said he had to do everything he could to protect the baby, but he didn't know where to find Ava. Morgan, putting on his most adorable puppy face, said that she was at the brownstone.

Ava was at the brownstone all right, but so was Nina, who greeted her with a Franco-esque, "Buckle up, bitch! It's show time!" Nina was there to settle the score in a most disturbing way! Ava tried to make it to her cell phone to call for help, but Nina grabbed a syringe and shoved it hard into Ava's back. It was filled with a muscle relaxant that would render her completely paralyzed!

Ava quickly grew limp and immobile. Nina put her hands on Ava's bump and smiled, "This baby is mine." She then took out another syringe, one containing the labor accelerant, and said, "We are about to bring a new life into the world."

And there was more! Obrecht handed Jake his bill and his discharge papers. Plus, Anna walked Dante through her theory that Sonny killed A.J.!

On Monday, Anna interrogates Duke, Nina takes her plan further, and the wedding from hell continues! Don't forget: 3:00 ET and 2:00 PST/CT on ABC. Be there!

Gaskill's Bloody Fun Film!

Brian_Gaskill25673.jpg

Soap opera veteran Brian Gaskill is no stranger to the world of vampires. As angel Rafe on PORT CHARLES, he battled a whole host of them! Now, he's stepping back into that realm in The Bloody Indulgent, a sexy vampire musical that's being released for rent this week on VIMEO and cityoffilm.tv before going to wider release.

"I play a quirky club owner/MC at a B-rated strip club," Gaskill reveals of the role that will pit him against former Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson as a randy (and not-so-sober!) vampire. "I'm surrounded by vampires and zombies." Not only does the actor play a pivotal role in the story, but he also gets to sing! "I'm a huge fan of not only musicals, but also cult musicals such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show," Gaskill explains of his interest in the project. "So it was a dream come true for me to be part of such a wild film — it definitely falls into the realm of the cult classics."

The colorful film, which also features Diva Zappa and Danièle Watts (Django Unchained), is described as "a grungy morality tale that reveals the humanity of monsters and the inhumanity of mankind."

"Kevin Richardson was awesome to work with and Ken Roht, the director and writer, is a bit of an underground theater genius, so it was an amazing experience all around," Gaskill enthuses. "I am so excited that it's finally able to be seen, and it's perfect timing — just in time for Halloween!"

Switchcrafted_Alderson&Duell.jpg

GENERAL HOSPITAL stars Chad Duell (Michael) and Kristen Alderson (Kiki) have been put under a witch's spell! Well, technically the Switch Witch's spell.

After an appearance on Phoenix's SONORAN LIVING LIVE, the actors met author Audrey Kinsman in the green room and fell in love with her newly-released children's storybook, Switchcrafted. They took copies home to share with their nieces and nephews so they can also become "Switchcrafted."

The book encourages children to switch out their piles of unhealthy Halloween candy in exchange for a "must-have" toy. Switchcrafted comes complete with the illustrated book, a special trick or treat bag and a Switch Witch doll. You can purchase it from Amazon.com by clicking here, and start your own Halloween tradition trading sweet treats for something healthier.
