The Fusion Four make over one lucky fan!

In this day and age, it’s all about change. Getting a facial, buying a piece of art, donning a trendy sweater or hiring a personal trainer can do a world of good. Unfortunately, such things can be expensive. So what’s a girl to do? Get ALL MY CHILDREN’s Fusion Four — Rebecca Budig (Greenlee), Alicia Minshew (Kendall), Terri Ivens (Simone) and Amelia Heinle (Mia) — to give you a makeover!

Okay, so maybe you didn’t win THE VIEW’s contest to spend time with these savvy ladies and learn firsthand from them how to take care of yourself when it comes to lifestyle, health and fitness, fashion and beauty. But all is not lost. Fans who tuned in on Thursday, February 5, to the ABC talk show got to see how these actresses transformed one woman in all aspects of her life. Here, you can read how Minshew, Ivens and Heinle went about creating a whole new world for one lucky winner. "[This show was] about practicality," says Ivens, "but there [was] also a fun side to it because someone [got] Kendall, Greenlee, Mia and Simone walking in their door and saying, ‘Hi!’"

Health And Fitness
"My mom is a nutritionist and personal trainer, so I [went] right to the source!" shares Minshew, who [gave] nutritional and exercise hints. "I [wasn't] being a dietician, I [gave] tips that I use and have seen my mother use with my family that I think would help."

Minshew [was] especially excited about sharing her wealth of knowledge because it’s something in which she has a great interest. "I always said that if I don’t make it in acting, I want to go back to school and become a hard-core nutritionist and really help people," she says. "So many people eat so many bad things that they’re food-deprived, vitamin-depleted and sick all the time. I just want to tell them, ‘Don’t eat this anymore.’ or ‘Eat more of this. You’ll see such a difference!’ But it’s not just physically, it’s mentally, too. I think that’s probably why I’m such an energetic and positive person."

Beauty
"I’m the grooming girl!" says Heinle with a laugh, admitting she [was] a little bit nervous about [the project]. "It [was] my first time [doing a makeover]. I’m just [had] to do some research!"

Heinle didn't need to worry. Although a natural beauty, she’s quite the expert when it comes to taking care of her skin, and admits that she has an extended regime to keep it in tip-top shape. "I buy all kind of concoctions and masks," she says with a laugh. "I have all these weird, kooky things that I do for myself, so I [applied] that to whatever we’re doing."

Fashion
When it comes to fashion, Ivens is right on top of what’s hip and what’s not. "I shared the ways to stay trendy without spending $300 a week because you could easily spend that much just trying to stay up on what the newest thing is," she explains. "No one knows that better than us because we get our picture taken so often, and once we wear [something], we can’t really wear it again. We get slammed for that if we do! So we have to be very inventive, and there are ways."

Lifestyle
As for Budig, she’s been a guest and co-host on THE VIEW several times during the past few years. More than once she’s given fabulous tips on decorating a home or throwing a party — she even invited the cameras into her New York City apartment as she prepared a Christmas shindig for her AMC co-stars! Without a doubt, she’s the person to learn a lot from when it comes to making the most of your environment.

"Rebecca [shared] all of her amazing homemaker ideas because she’s so great at it," praises Ivens. "[For example], she can [give advice] on redoing your kitchen for so much less than hiring an interior designer or contractor to come in and knock down walls.

"Speaking for the four of us," concludes Ivens, "we want to make a difference — even if it’s just to give someone confidence to walk forward for the rest of their life." — Colleen Phan
