Linda Dano (Rae, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) appears in the upcoming ABC Family original movie See Jane Date, starring Charisma Carpenter (ANGEL, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) as Jane and Holly Marie Combs (CHARMED) as Jane’s nemesis, Natasha. Dano plays Ina, the title character’s aunt, who relentlessly nags her about being single.
"I’m Jane’s surrogate mother because her mom, my sister, died when she was a teenager," explains the actress. "My character is bigger than life and fun. Nothing gets in her way — she’s a lot like Felicia Gallant [my ANOTHER WORLD character]. Ina only wants the best for Jane and rides her in a sweet way about finding the right guy. She’s constantly trying to find the right boys for her, but of course Jane wants no part of them!"
But when Jane inadvertently meets one of the men her aunt had picked for her and sparks fly, "Ina is thrilled," says Dano. But of course, that’s not the end of the story.
"It’s a really sweet romantic comedy about discovering what life is really about," she continues. "Plus, there are lots of cameos by some fabulous-looking men like Cameron Mathison (Ryan, ALL MY CHILDREN), Antonio Sábato Jr. (ex-Jagger, GENERAL HOSPITAL) and Evan Marriott (JOE MILLIONAIRE), who all go on dates with Jane. But the real story is her self-discovery."
