ALL MY CHILDREN’s multitasker Cameron Mathison (Ryan) has yet another gig: Brighten Bay, a Cheer detergent advertising campaign in soap opera form. According to Reuters, Mathison will play Bay’s do-gooder, Dr. Dan. The campaign also includes a sweepstakes for a trip for two to Los Angeles. “Daytime dramas have long been a guilty pleasure in America,” Mathison says in a statement. “What I love about Brighten Bay is that it's a fun and clever campaign, but also — just like a real soap opera — it aims to connect with women and give them something to look forward to each day, helping to brighten up their routines.” Keep up with all the good, clean fun at www.brightenbay.com.

 Livingston's Leaving Port Charles!

Nikolas loses yet again!
Sad, but true: Natalia Livingston (Rebecca) is leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL. This is super fresh, so we don’t have a ton of details on when or why, but a show rep confirms it’s a done deal: The Emmy winner is on her way out!

Livingston returned to GH in January as Rebecca, a dead ringer for Nikolas’ dead love, Emily. It was no coincidence: Livingston took over the role of Emily from Amber Tamblyn in 2003 and played it until May 2008.

"We were thrilled that we were able to get Natalia back for a second run, after her Emmy-winning turn as Emily Quartermaine," GH says in a statement. "The character of Rebecca Shaw will soon depart the canvas and Natalia has decided to pursue other projects. A beloved member of the GH family, the entire cast and crew wish her well in all her future endeavors."

In a statement released exclusively to In Depth, Livingston thanks her co-workers and her fans. "I leave GH with a sense of pride and fulfillment. I adore and have so much respect for all my cast mates, Brian, Jill, Bob, all the writers, producers, directors and crew. GH has been a second home to me and I embark on this next chapter of my life with optimism and excitement," she says. "Most of all, I want to thank all of the fans that supported me every step of the way. You guys are truly the best."

 Can Röhm Play Hero?

Röhm was born in Germany.
Back in the late '90s, Elisabeth Röhm was launching her career on ONE LIFE TO LIVE by playing Dorothy Hayes, Mel’s idealist daughter who had an ill-fated relationship with Joey Buchanan. Having since made a name for herself as ADA Serena Southerlyn on NBC’s LAW & ORDER, now she’s returning to the Peacock network beginning Monday, November 2, for a multi-episode arc on HEROES. But this new character’s love life isn’t any less complicated. Soaps In Depth caught up with the actress at the Long Beach Comic Convention. “My character is [CIA Agent] Lauren Gilmore; she’s partners with Jack Coleman’s character [H.R.G.] they’ve done something similar professionally,” she teases, adding, “We’re similar — minus [his] glasses!" As the storyline is bound to take a few unexpected twists and turns, Röhm is excited about being on board for it. “It’s a privilege to work with such amazing people; the writers, producers and actors are all so smart,” she offers. “That’s another reason I’ve admired Sci Fi so much: It requires a certain intelligence to do it, to be in it, and to appreciate it. I’m very excited to be doing HEROES because of that.” Röhm never forgets her loyal fans, who continuously root for her success. “I have a real love and respect for the sci fi fans and the soap opera fans who’ve followed me from [OLTL] to LAW & ORDER to [today],” she says. “I feel really lucky about that.” HEROES airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST.
