This just in: Julia Barr will return as Brooke during ALL MY CHILDREN's 40th anniversary episodes in January!
Barr's publicist confirms that the show just approached the actress in the past few days. "I was very happy to be invited to participate in AMC’s 40th anniversary show," Barr says in a statement. "I look forward to the taping and to seeing old friends. I am particularly glad for my fans, since I know how much they miss Brooke!"
Brooke may never have officially left Pine Valley, but she hasn't been seen since Barr parted ways with the soap in 2006. An AMC rep had no comment on Barr's return.

Mathison Stars In New Soap!
Mathison cleans up his act on Bay.
ALL MY CHILDREN’s multitasker Cameron Mathison (Ryan) has yet another gig: Brighten Bay, a Cheer detergent advertising campaign in soap opera form. According to Reuters, Mathison will play Bay’s do-gooder, Dr. Dan. The campaign also includes a sweepstakes for a trip for two to Los Angeles. “Daytime dramas have long been a guilty pleasure in America,” Mathison says in a statement. “What I love about Brighten Bay is that it's a fun and clever campaign, but also — just like a real soap opera — it aims to connect with women and give them something to look forward to each day, helping to brighten up their routines.” Keep up with all the good, clean fun at www.brightenbay.com.

Hearst will host the charity event.

Minshew's baby was expected to arrive closer to Thanksgiving, but the Herschenfelds aren't complaining!
ALL MY CHILDREN's Alicia Minshew (Kendall) and husband Richie Herschenfeld welcomed daughter Willow Lenora Herschenfeld at 6:42 a.m. on November 4, a little more than a week after their first anniversary. Willow weighed in at 5 pounds, 2 ounces. Congratulations!

No Binks For You!
Riegel won't be back.
ALL MY CHILDREN fans’ hopes for Bianca were dashed when portrayer Eden Riegel announced today that she isn't returning to AMC when the soap moves to Los Angeles. “Hey Guys, not-great news to share. Looks like it isn't going to work out for me going back to AMC when they move out to LA. I'm very sad...” she posted on Twitter. What are your thoughts on the matter? Head over to the In Depth message boards and have at it!
Mystery Woman Invades Port Charles
A GENERAL HOSPITAL rep confirms that the soap has cast British actress Marsha Thomason as a yet unnamed mystery woman who will play opposite film star James Franco when he debuts next month. Thomason most recently had a recurring role on LOST and also played Nessa Holt on the NBC series, LAS VEGAS for two seasons.
Livingston's Leaving Port Charles!
Nikolas loses yet again!
Sad, but true: Natalia Livingston (Rebecca) is leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL. This is super fresh, so we don’t have a ton of details on when or why, but a show rep confirms it’s a done deal: The Emmy winner is on her way out!
Livingston returned to GH in January as Rebecca, a dead ringer for Nikolas’ dead love, Emily. It was no coincidence: Livingston took over the role of Emily from Amber Tamblyn in 2003 and played it until May 2008.
"We were thrilled that we were able to get Natalia back for a second run, after her Emmy-winning turn as Emily Quartermaine," GH says in a statement. "The character of Rebecca Shaw will soon depart the canvas and Natalia has decided to pursue other projects. A beloved member of the GH family, the entire cast and crew wish her well in all her future endeavors."
In a statement released exclusively to In Depth, Livingston thanks her co-workers and her fans. "I leave GH with a sense of pride and fulfillment. I adore and have so much respect for all my cast mates, Brian, Jill, Bob, all the writers, producers, directors and crew. GH has been a second home to me and I embark on this next chapter of my life with optimism and excitement," she says. "Most of all, I want to thank all of the fans that supported me every step of the way. You guys are truly the best."

Vasi's Man Put A Ring On It!
Vasi's going to be a Mrs.!
ALL MY CHILDREN’s Denise Vasi (Randi) is going to be very busy in the next few months… planning her wedding! The actress got engaged to boyfriend Sevan Arslanian, a diamond wholesaler — ooh, can’t wait to see the ring! — this past weekend and announced it on her Twitter feed. The pair met over a year ago at the birthday party of a mutual friend. Congratulations!
Reeves Joins GH!
Reeves will still write and record country music while on GH.
First Elizabeth gets the return of her true love’s first portrayer, now she gets her brother back, too! Scott Reeves (ex-Ryan, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) will be GENERAL HOSPITAL’s new Steven Lars Webber, a GH rep confirms. (The character hasn’t been seen since Shaun Benson left in 2005.) Reeves will show up in December as the hospital’s new chief of staff and will have storyline with Liz, Lucky and Nikolas. The part is recurring. In real life, Reeves is married to DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Melissa Reeves (ex-Jennifer).
