 Monaco & Easton Reunite!

Will John and Sam make it out alive?
Bella and Edward who? Long before the Twilight sweethearts even met, Michael Easton (John, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) and Kelly Monaco (Sam, GENERAL HOSPITAL) played sexy vampire Caleb and his human girlfriend, Livvie, on ABC's PORT CHARLES — and now, the popular pair have been reunited! For the first time in 7 years, Monaco and Easton will share the screen in ABC's final "What If" installment when OLTL's John and GH's Sam get trapped in a burning elevator together. The series finale airs the week of September 1, on www.ABC.com and www.SOAPnet.com.

 Chow Down With Eakes!

Eakes is a little bit "Country."
As part of next month's ALL MY CHILDREN Fan Club Weekend (being held at the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys, CA), Bobbie Eakes (Krystal) will be hosting her own fan event, Krystal's Country Bar-B-Q! The bash will be held on Saturday, September 25, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. PST and will feature special guests from the AMC cast, along with a barbeque buffet dinner, country music spun by a DJ and a line dancing instructor to teach you how to do the boot scootin' boogie! Tickets are $85; to order, visit www.amcfans.com.

 Buddy Checks Out, Take 2!

OLTL is losing a Buddy.
Remember all that hoopla back in June when Brandon Buddy (Cole, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) tweeted that he had decided not to renew his contract and would be exiting the soap, only to declare the next day that his Twitter account had been hacked? It all seemed very suspicious, at the time. Well, our pals at Daytime Confidential are reporting that Buddy will, in fact, be exiting the show this fall and that the actor was "encouraged" to recant his post earlier this summer. Interestingly, the actor hasn't been very active on Twitter since then. A spokesperson for OLTL reminds that they do not comment on rumors.

Tam Brings Markko Back To Llanview!

Markko leaves L.A.
A spokesperson for ONE LIFE TO LIVE confirms that Jason Tam (Markko) will return to the soap on Friday, September 24. After ending his relationship with Langston, Markko left town to attend film school in L.A. The character's departure this past July was written into the storyline to accommodate Tam's participation in The Public Theatre's Shakespeare Lab in New York.

 Charleson Bumped!

Charleson's contract has been dropped.
Soaps In Depth has learned that Leslie Charleson (Monica) has been taken off contract and is now a recurring player with GENERAL HOSPITAL. Charleson, who has four Emmy nominations under her belt, joined the soap over 30 years ago, but her screentime has dwindled since the death of her on-screen husband, Alan, played by Stuart Damon, in 2007. An ABC spokesperson reminds that the soap does not comment on contract status.

Giovinazzo Checks In With THE DOCTORS

Giovinazzo is swapping stories with other moms.

Continuing with her recent flurry of talk show appearances, Giovinazzo will be a guest co-host on the Season 3 premiere of THE DOCTORS, airing Monday, September 13. According to her official Web site, www.vanessaconnection.com, she will be part of a Momtourage-themed panel on the nationally syndicated talk show. Co-host Dr. Lisa Masterson will moderate the segment featuring moms, celebrities and experts discussing everything from diapers to teething and other concerns facing mothers today.

The actor announced the news on his Facebook page, revealing that he did a table reading of the script on August 20, and is taping the episode this week. "Excellent cast and wonderful production staff and crew… with a really nice role to play," he posts.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES returns for its second season on Tuesday, September 21, at 9 p.m. EST. As soon as we find out when Irizarry's episode will air, we'll let you know!

 Stars Take To The Stage!

Barash lends a helping hand.
ABC Daytime is partnering with the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center to present a benefit engagement of the musical revue The World Goes 'Round — starring ALL MY CHILDREN's Bobbie Eakes (Krystal) and Natalie Hall (Colby) and GENERAL HOSPITAL's Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) and Brandon Barash (Johnny)! Plus, each performance will be hosted by another AMC or GH star, who will welcome the audience, answer questions and offer exclusive previews for future episodes of AMC, GH and ONE LIFE TO LIVE!

The revue is being staged at The Gay & Lesbian Center's Renberg Theatre in Los Angeles from Thursday, October 7, through Sunday, October 10. Hosts will be announced at a later date. Proceeds will benefit the organization's Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.lagaycenter.org.

 Zimmer Finds New LIFE!

There's going to be an Echo in Llanview.
An ABC rep has confirmed four-time Emmy winner Kim Zimmer will return to ONE LIFE TO LIVE as Echo DiSavoy on Friday, October 1. Zimmer, who left the role in 1983 to join GUIDING LIGHT as Reva Shayne, will reportedly share screen time with Erika Slezak (Viki), Robin Strasser (Dorian) and former GL co-star Jerry verDorn (Clint). "I'm resurrecting a character I played nearly 28 years ago. I'm glad I'm still alive to do it!" Zimmer tells Soaps In Depth.

 Stone Visits Robin!

No Stone goes unturned for Robin.
GENERAL HOSPITAL's Robin is about to be reunited with her first love, Stone! Michael Sutton will reprise the role for two episodes beginning Tuesday, September 28, when Stone appears to a delirious Robin. According to a GH rep, as Robin's life hangs in jeopardy, Stone gives her the will to live for both herself and daughter Emma. Also expect the former couple to talk about their relationship, finally bringing Robin a sense of closure for both Stone's death and her own HIV-positive status. Sutton left GH in 1995 when Stone tragically died of AIDS -- a storyline which won the soap accolades and garnered the actor an Emmy nomination.

Is Actor Out Before He Airs?

Warlock is returning to an old role!
Late yesterday afternoon, rumors were swirling around the ONE LIFE TO LIVE set that soap hopper Billy Warlock (ex-Blackthorn, AS THE WORLD TURNS; ex-A.J., GENERAL HOSPITAL; ex-Frankie, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) would be leaving the soap as Ross sooner than expected to return to his former role… on GH! Since A.J. is very dead, that seemed hard to believe (although Michael could use him right about now). After a bit more digging, Soaps In Depth has uncovered that the former role he's actually revisiting is Frankie on DAYS. Either way, it puts Warlock, who is due to make his OLTL debut the end of this month, back on the West Coast. As for his replacing Michael Lowry as OLTL's Ross? While the gig was a short-term one, we'll keep you posted on whether this latest development will affect his ABC storyline as soon as we find out more information!

UPDATE: A spokesperson for OLTL says that Warlock is still taping as Ross.
