Consuelos Is One “Caliente” Teacher!

The FOX comedy I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER returns to the network’s programming slate on Tuesday, March 6 — with guest star Mark Conseulos (Mateo, ALL MY CHILDREN) making the first of his two-episode appearance. The actor will play Alex Castillo, the hunky professor teaching the night school Spanish class in which Nikki and Annie enroll in the episode “Teenage Escuela,” and will return in the Tuesday, March 13, episode “Teenage Date Night” when Alex goes on a date with single mom Annie, played by series star Jamie Pressly.

“They called and asked me if I was interested in doing the role,” says Consuelos. “I thought it was funny because I really don’t speak Spanish and to play a Spanish teacher kind of tickled me a bit!” Seeing how the actor’s first language is actually Italian, there was one moment on set that left him a tad red-faced. “I’m teaching the class how to say ‘burrito’ as I’m spelling it. And I spelled it incorrectly, and it was a [film] take, and people were just cracking up. It was hysterical. It was very embarrassing.”

I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER airs at 8:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
