Director’s Guild Nominations Announced!

The Director’s Guild Of America has named seven nominees in the category of Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials for the 2012 DGA Awards, to take place on Saturday, January 28.

ALL MY CHILDREN has received two nominations for their final episodes: Angela Tessinari for the September 14 show in which Jesse confesses to Angie about the baby switch, and Casey Childs for the “Who did J.R. shoot” finale. GENERAL HOSPITAL also got two nods, one for William Ludell for his direction of Luke’s intervention, and the other for Scott McKinsey for Liz and Siobhan’s car accident. And ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Larry Carpenter is being recognized for April 27 episode where Viki confronts her alters.

Rounding out the nominations in the Daytime Serial category are THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’s Cynthia J. Popp and THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Mike Denney.
