Exclusive: Rademacher Speaks Out!

In an exclusive interview with Soaps In Depth, Ingo Rademacher is speaking out about his release from GENERAL HOSPITAL, where he’s played the role of debonair businessman Jasper Jacks for the better part of the past 15 years. “The writing has kind of been on the wall for the character since last August, when I stopped working my usual amount of shows,” he shares. “Sometimes there’s a lull in between storyline, but it never picked up again for me. So I kind of knew.”

Even though executive producer Jill Farren Phelps had told Rademacher earlier this year that there was a chance his character would be written off of the canvas, the actor was still surprised to be let go from the soap. “I think the character is worth a lot to the show,” he says with a shrug. “I don’t know the exact reason for it, and I don’t want to speculate because there’s too many different things that you hear. A decision has been made, and I am not going to fight it. You move on. I had a long run there. They’ve got their reasons for doing it, and I’ve got to respect that.”
