The soap’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, teased a special announcement was incoming, and finally tweeted out a video featuring Smith as her beloved character from ONE LIFE TO LIVE!
Shot backstage at GH, the video features a judge demanding to see Nora in her chambers immediately. As Smith passes Rebecca Budig (Hayden) in the hall, she says hello, and Budig turns to the camera and excitedly exclaims, “That was Hillary B. Smith! She’s coming to GENERAL HOSPITAL!”

MUST SEE: Eddie Alderson Shares Positive Update on His Cancer Treatment!
This is the first appearance of a character from ALL MY CHILDREN or OLTL since ABC regained the rights to the soaps from Prospect Park after their extended legal battle.
Smith joined OLTL in 1992, shortly after her popular run as Margo on AS THE WORLD TURNS, and remained with the soap until its cancelation, even appearing on the short-lived online incarnation. As a lawyer, Nora could be headed to Port Charles to defend someone in court. And if it’s Franco, will she mention how familiar he looks?
At this time there are no further details as to when, exactly, Smith will be making her first appearance as Nora, or how long her stint will actually be. Or, for that matter, exactly what storyline she’ll find herself involved in. So stay tuned for more news as it is revealed!
While you wait for Nora to show up in Port Charles, ake a look back at some classic moments from OLTL in the gallery below!
