GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Jeffrey Vincent Parise “Couldn’t Be More Excited” About His Scary New Role!

Tags:

On GENERAL HOSPITAL, actor Jeffrey Vincent Parise made quite an impression as the villainous Carlos Rivera, and fans were upset when the character was killed off. They were hopeful when he returned to the soap as twin brother Joe, but that was sadly short-lived. However now they can look forward to seeing the actor as a brand new character on the new season of SUPERNATURAL, and this villain looks downright nasty!

“It’s true!” Parise posted to Twitter. “There’s a new sheriff in town at SUPERNATURAL! Couldn’t be more excited about this show and this character! Details to come!”

The 13th season of SUPERNATURAL premieres Thursday, Oct. 12, on The CW, and in the trailer for what’s to come, it looks as though Parise’s character has some kind of evil powers. As he raises his hands and clenches his fists, it cuts to people choking as though he was somehow responsible for magically strangling them. There’s also a close-up of Parise’s scarred face as he warns: “There’s a new sheriff in town.” This guy may be dressed all in white, but he definitely does not look like a good guy!

Parise’s former GH castmate Matt Cohen (Griffin) was excited by the news, tweeting: “Yes brother! Welcome to the #SPNFAMILY!” Cohen has played the younger version of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character of John Winchester in some episodes and has made frequent appearances at fan gatherings focused on the primetime series.

When Parise responded, “Thank you, my man! Looking forward to the family reunions!” fellow Port Charles fan favorite Ryan Paevey (Nathan) jumped in, too! “Is there some sort of application I gotta fill out?” he joked.

Since leaving daytime Parise’s fans have followed him into new roles such as the movie The Love Witch and his recurring role of Carlos Camacho in season two of THE DETOUR. As soon as we have more details regarding his character on SUPERNATURAL and which episodes he’ll be appearing in, we’ll be sure to let you know!
