Best wishes to GENERAL HOSPITAL star Laura Wright, who is celebrating her birthday today! The actress got her start back in 1991 when she made her debut as Allison “Ally” Rescott Bowman on LOVING. When that soap was canceled in 1995, she then brought the character over to its short-lived spinoff, THE CITY for two years. After ABC axed that show as well, Wright moved over to CBS to play Cassie Layne on GUIDING LIGHT, where she stayed until 2005. She then moved back to ABC to be the fourth actress to take over the role of Carly Corinthos on GH, where she has earned six Daytime Emmy Award nominations over the years, taking home the trophy for her very first nomination in 2011.
