GH Friday Recap: Carly, A Relationship Coach?

Carly is the best friend an amnesiac hunk recovering from brain surgery can ask for! She invited Jake to move into a spare room in her house to keep the illusion alive that he wasn’t welcome at the Metro Court. And, like the fabu bestie she’ll always be, she became his confidante about everything from his secret deal with Sloan that had him infiltrating the Jerome organization to all matters of the heart involving Elizabeth.

Front and center to witness an exchange of words between Jake and Liz peaked Carly’s interest, so much so that she pushed him to talk about what was (and was not) going on with him and pretty Nurse Webber. He admitted that until Liz figured out what was going on between her and Ric, he had to just sit back and wait. Carly, in true Carly fashion, told him how she owed Liz for donating her son’s kidney to Josslyn when she was younger, but then proceeded to warn him that Liz was in the habit of playing two guys against each other!

Liz had her own little drama with Ric, who all but got on his knees and begged her to take him back. She finally confessed that, yes, she had feelings for Jake. Although the news stung, Ric took it like a man, saying he understood but that it didn’t mean they were through. She, however, felt differently. She fed him that “I will always care about you” line and then turned and walked away. It was not a pretty moment. Ric was left both devastated and fired up. “I’m not giving up on you that easy,” he said to himself!

The Mob world was heating up. In fact, it was raging! Shawn’s suspicion of Jordan was off the charts, even though she denied time and time again that she was not working for Anna. Liar, liar, pants on fire! Anyway, Shawn shared this belief about Jordan with Duke and Sonny. They agreed that if Shawn’s instincts proved to be accurate, Jordan needed to be taken out. And they weren’t talking about an early supper. But before they could act, they needed proof. That required testing her with a mission that, if she was a cop, she would refuse. That task: kill Julian Jerome! Little did Duke know that Julian had the same plans for him!

Anna paid a surprise visit to Sloan, who, like every man in Port Charles with nice pecs, answered his door in nothing but a towel. She was there to search his room and yank his chain. Although they supposedly hated each other, they certainly cranked up the sexual innuendos and invasion of personal space. He dropped the towel (intentionally) to show her he had nothing to hide. She still believed he tampered with the ballot box that got the mayor her job. “And what, exactly, did you think you’d find here?” he asked, looking down at his naked glory. “A hanging chad?”
