General Hospital's Brytni Sarpy Requests "Love and Prayers" For Her Hospitalized Father

Fans of GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Brytni Sarpy (Valerie) were concerned when they heard she was in the hospital, but the actress took to Instagram to let everyone know that she was fine, and it was in fact her father, Mel, who had been admitted.

“For everyone who has asked,” she posted, “my dad’s been in the hospital, not me. He’s feeling much better, but can definitely use your love and prayers. Just don’t tell him (if you know him) that I posted this. He didn’t find the humor in me documenting his trip and has been trying to break out of the hospital all day…”

Sarpy’s father suffers from Parkinson’s disease, and back in 2015, they attended an event held by the HollyRod Foundation, which is an organization founded by actress Holly Robinson Peete that provides care to those living with autism and Parkinson’s disease.
