Happy Birthday to General Hospital's Vanessa Marcil!

Best wishes to daytime star Vanessa Marcil (Brenda, GENERAL HOSPITAL), who celebrates her birthday on Oct. 15! Marcil joined the cast of GH in 1992 and quickly became a fan favorite creating dueling supercouples through Brenda’s popular romances with both Sonny and Jax. The actress left in 1998 to pursue other opportunities, and joined the cast of BEVERLY HILLS, 90210. She returned to Port Charles in 2002 for a year-long stint that garnered Marcil her third Daytime Emmy Award nomination and first win for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

After starring in the primetime drama LAS VEGAS from 2003-08, Marcil appeared in various other series and TV movies, popping back to GH in 2010 for another run of episodes and returning again in 2013 for the soap’s 50th anniversary.

Marcil has a teenaged son, Kassius, with her ex, Brian Austin Green, and is currently enjoying happiness with an extended family that includes fiancé MC and his daughter, Riley.
