Guza Out, Garin In At GH!
GENERAL HOSPITAL headwriter Robert Guza, Jr. has been replaced by Garin Wolf — a long-time veteran of the soap’s writing team — effective immediately. “Garin is a talented writer and storyteller who has peen a part of the GH family for nearly 15 years,” says ABC Daytime president Brian Frons in a statement. “His in-depth knowledge and adoration for the show’s legacy will help make a smooth transition and an immediate impact on story. I’m sure he will succeed in taking GH to new heights as he develops characters and storylines that will engage and thrill our viewers.”
Wolf is a two-time Emmy winner who began his GH career in 1997, holding the roles of associate headwriter, breakdown writer and script writer. In addition to GH, Wolf has penned tales for NIGHT SHIFT and AS THE WORLD TURNS, as well as the animated series BATMAN and TINY TOON ADVENTURES. During the 2008 writer’s strike, Wolf made the decision to go financial core and wrote much of what aired on GH.
