Interview: Vasi Rocks The SINGLE Life!

Tags:

If you loved ALL MY CHILDREN’s Denise Vasi (Randi) as a former prostitute-turned-Hubbard wife/model extraordinaire, wait until you see her as a blossoming socialite hitting the Atlanta dating scene when she joins the second season of VH1’s scripted drama, SINGLE LADIES! She’s stirring up trouble like you wouldn’t believe — and loving every minute of it! “This is the most awesome dream [gig] ever,” the actress enthuses of being part of the show, which follows three Georgia women — Vasi as Raquel, Charity Shea as April and LisaRaye as Keisha (pictured above with Vasi) — through the ups and downs of dating. “It’s just a bunch of genuinely great people who really just want to come together and make something great happen. It’s been a blessing.”

But when you tune into the Monday, May 28, premiere of the show’s second season, don’t expect much of Randi to shine through! “Raquel comes from a very well-to-do family, she’s very well traveled, has spent time doing charity work, and she’s gone to some of the best schools and really worked hard at making a name for herself,” Vasi explains to Soaps In Depth, adding that a bombshell dropped in the first episode sends her new alter ego into a tailspin! “She starts changing her wardrobe and her hair, and she gets a tattoo! She’s just expressing herself differently, and she feels that she’s finally living her life.”

Of course, in the midst of Raquel finding her inner wild child, there will be plenty of boys and sex in the mix, as well! “As Raquel comes out of one relationship, she decides that she’s going to live life and experiment, so we’ll see Raquel with quite a few different options,” the actress teases. “I’m having such a blast!”

To see Vasi shine in her new role, be sure to tune into VH1 on Monday, May 28, at 9 p.m. ET. And be sure to pick up the ABC issue of Soaps In Depth on sale Monday, June 11, for more from our interview with the actress!
