Is Kristina Coming Home?
Summer is rolling around and you know what that means for soaps, right? Beefing up those storylines of the younger set in order to attract a younger audience while school is out. Does that mean GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Sonny will be welcoming back one (if not both) of his kids who are miles from Port Charles and out of the mob firing zone? Could be. An insider tells Soaps In Depth that the possibility of Kristina heading home from Yale for the summer break has come up in conversation with the powers that be. Good news for Kristina fans, but possibly not good news for Lexi Ainsworth fans. Although she was pre-nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her performance as Kristina, Ainsworth’s returning in the role is not a given. In fact, the insider tells us that even though it was the previous regime’s decision that Kristina be “matured” and there are new captains now steering the GH ship, their vision of where to take the character may be on the same course. So, Kristina’s return to GH is likely. Ainsworth’s return, however, is still up in the air.
