As previously reported, ALL MY CHILDREN's Jill Larson (Opal) recently reported to the set of THE BAY to tape a guest role as lawyer Helen Kruegar on the Web series, and now she's telling Soaps In Depth all about her new gig! "In the words of my father, a good time was had by all!" she shares of reuniting with director/creator Gregori J. Martin, with whom she worked on his independent film Manhattanites. "I did a day on Gregori's show, first to support him, a man of indefatigable energy and perseverance, a true self-starter who never stops starting! Also, to have the experience of playing one of those TV lawyer/cop types!"
The opportunity to play a more straight-laced character than her wacky Pine Valley alter ego was a bonus! "It was fun to try something new, something less, enthusiastic, shall we say, than Opal!" Larson reveals. The actress worked with Lane Davies (Cameron, GENERAL HOSPITAL; Mason, SANTA BARBARA), who plays THE BAY's Det. Mackenzie Johnson. "An adorable guy. So funny and kind and smart. He was a great help, because doing something like that is a bit like being shot out of a cannon, especially after so many years playing the same character!"
Season Two of THE BAY kicked off last week at www.thebaytheseries.com. Larson will make her debut in early 2012.
