Martinez Returns To The Military!

Set your DVR! Real life veteran-turned-soap star J.R. Martinez (Brot) is the latest ALL MY CHILDREN alumnus to appear on Lifetime’s ARMY WIVES. In the episode, which airs Sunday, September 9, at 10:00 pm EST, he’ll play the tough-as-nails physical therapist that motivates Kevin to recover from his injuries. “[He needs to] understand that at the end of the day, he’s in my facility to get better and he’s not the general, I am!” Martinez grins.

Landing on the primetime soap was a full-circle moment for the actor, who recalls working with one of its stars, Terry Serpico (Frank) on AMC. “In the early days of Brot’s storyline, Terry played my sergeant… I remember meeting him and thinking how cool it was,” Martinez reflects. “Here we are four years later, and I have the opportunity to guest star on the show that he and so many others had told me about.”
