Meet GH’s New Josslyn!

Carly’s daughter, Josslyn, returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL today after an extended vacation visiting her father Jax — with daytime newcomer Eden McCoy taking over the role from Hannah Nordberg.

“I still can’t believe it but please watch me as Josslyn Jacks in my first episode of General Hospital on ABC Wednesday,” the teenager announced in a Facebook post on Monday night. “Very grateful to be a part of this amazing cast and show. Much more to come — I love my GH family already.”

Although there’s been no comment from GH regarding the recast, Nordberg has been quite busy in the months that she’s been absent from the soap. She’ll be playing Dolly Parton’s best friend in the upcoming NBC movie _Coat Of Many Colors _(airing in early December) and has a meaty role in the HBO Salem witch trial pilot, THE DEVIL YOU MAY KNOW, where she plays Betty Parris, one of the young girls who accused other villagers of witchcraft.

As for McCoy, she began her career as a model in national commercials and print campaign — she can currently be seen in the back-to-school campaign for STAPLES — and has performed in two productions with the Los Angeles Opera. This summer, the 12-year-old appeared in a print ad celebrating Disneyland’s 60th anniversary. Welcome to the GH family, Eden!
