On the Anniversary of its Final Episode, Relive ONE LIFE TO LIVE’s Classic Moments!

Tags:

On Jan. 13, 2012, ONE LIFE TO LIVE aired its last episode on ABC. Although OLTL and ALL MY CHILDREN were both canceled at the same time, OLTL aired its last show nearly four months after AMC gave its final bow.

OLTL made its debut on July 15, 1968, created by the late daytime legend Agnes Nixon. In the beginning, the soap focused around the Lord family, especially Viki Lord, played by Emmy winner Erika Slezak. But over the decades expanded its scope to encompass all the diverse citizens of Llanview.

After AMC moved production to California in 2009, OLTL remained the last daytime soap still filmed in New York City. But after nearly 43 years on the air, ABC announced OLTL’s cancelation on April 14, 2011. Prospect Park purchased the rights and broadcast an online relaunch of OLTL starting on April 29, 2013 via iTunes and Hulu, but it was sadly short-lived.
