It doesn't appear that GENERAL HOSPITAL alum John Stamos (ex-Blackie) has any plans for taking things nice and easy this summer! FULL HOUSE's Uncle Jesse has booked himself not one, but two gigs in The Big Apple!
Starting Tuesday, July 10, Stamos will be returning to Broadway when he takes over** Eric McCormack's role as heartless presidential candidate Joe Cantwell in the revival of Gore Vidal's The Best Man. **Cybill Shepherd and Kristin Davis will also join the cast that day in the star-packed political drama set in the 1960s. James Earl Jones headlines the show, which will run until Sunday, September 9, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. For tickets and additional information, visit www.thebestmanonbroadway.com.
In addition to The Best Man, Stamos has been cast in the independent film My Man Is A Loser as the playboy pal of two men trying to be better husbands. Filming is set to begin in New York City this month.
