Admitting to Brooke that he was really struggling with the changes that had been implemented at the office, Ridge questioned whether he could even continue to work at Forrester Creations under Bill and Katie’s leadership. Katie faced some huge learning curves in her early days as CEO but hoped hiring a new president and vice-president at the company would help things run a tad smoother. After Bill summoned Ridge and requested an unappealing “favor” of him, Ridge recalled memories of the happy times he and Brooke had shared while working at Forrester. Katie scheduled her very first staff meeting as the new head of the company, but Eric and Ridge — to show their displeasure with the way things were happening — refused to attend! Remarkably, Ridge eventually had a most-unexpected change of heart about working for Bill, even surprising Katie and Brooke with a special gift to show he was willing to keep an open mind about the change in leadership at Forrester.
Donna Hits The Airwaves
After flashing back to fond memories of his high-school love affair with Donna, Justin happened upon an idea to spend more quality time with his former flame: He arranged for her to host Spencer Communications’ fashion-related talk show. When Donna’s first guest, Stephanie, flaked at the last minute, her sister, Pam, filled in as a surprisingly-entertaining substitute. Eric, meanwhile, was not thrilled about his wife’s new role as talk-show host, especially since it meant she’d be spending more time with Justin. His concerns appeared to be justified when Justin stunned Donna with an unexpected confession! Marcus’ dad also convinced his onetime love that she needed to stand her ground with Eric regarding his objections to her new career path.
Bridget Explores Her Mommy Options
A trip to the doctor resulted in some disappointing news for Bridget, who learned that her odds of conceiving another child and carrying it to term didn’t look so good. Afterward, she and Nick decided to explore some alternative options for having a child together. They arranged to speak with a surrogacy candidate about carrying a baby for them. During the in-person meeting with the potential candidate, the hopeful couple were taken aback by the surrogate’s overzealous attitude. Meanwhile, Owen and Jackie reached an understanding of sorts about their own conflicting baby options.
Steffy Bonds With Bill!
An assertive Steffy pitched an idea for a new clothing line to Katie and Bill revolving around the Logan sisters and “Old Hollywood.” Impressed by Steffy’s creativity and enthusiasm, Bill decided to take her under his wing, offering her a huge promotion at Forrester by appointing her the company’s new publicist. Steffy set to work on her new campaign and was surprised to see Bill’s softer, more sensitive side. She and the big boss man bonded unexpectedly over all that they had in common, and she found herself enjoying his company… despite the rest of her family’s disdain for the man.
