ONE LIFE
TO LIVE:
Do you think OLTL should have killed off Jared?
Heck no! He was so important to the Llanview canvas. I'll miss him.
Of course! He wasn't my favorite character, and it created dramatic story.

Celeb Q and A
You ask the questions!
abc.soapsindepth.com gives you a chance to ask questions of your favorite stars!

Dear Lynn,
Does Thorsten mind when you call him "Torso"? Does he have a nickname for you?
Parker
Dear Parker,
He doesn’t mind — now. I think at first it probably bothered him because I didn’t know him very well, and I was kind of just making a play on words. I’m sure he has lots of names he calls me that he would never call me to my face because we do tease each other a lot.
Dear Lynn,
How do you stay so fit and in shape, you look amazing?
Crystal Wells
Dear Crystal,
That’s genetics, but it’s also that I can’t sit still. My boys both play sports, so whatever season it is — basketball, baseball, soccer, ice hockey, roller hockey — I play whatever they’re playing at the time. And I have horses and anybody that has animals knows that by the time you unload their feed and clean their feet and the stalls and do all the chores, your heart’s racing and you feel like you got a good workout.
Dear Lynn,
I would love to see Lucy pregnant. Do you think she’ll ever have a child of her own? If so who would you like to see be the father?
Christine
Dear Christine,
We played the story that Lucy can’t have children, and it’s been pretty definitive. But now that we’re in the land of miracles, wishes and vampires, who knows? And it would have to be Ian because of what they’re going through. They’d bring Danny, Christina, and Serena into the mix, and then to have one of their own would be the icing on the cake.
Dear Lynn,
Would you like to see Lucy get a few more relatives? Also, how do you like working with Brian Gaskill (Rafe)?
Samantha
Dear Samantha,
I love working with Brian. We have a different kind of chemistry — a cousin chemistry, we’ll call it. We look in each other’s eyes, and there’s always a twinkle, so he makes me laugh. He’s very inventive and a lot of fun. And more relatives are always nice. I loved when Maree Cheatham (ex-Charlene) played my aunt, and I’m sure it would be good for Rafe to have a few more relatives, too.
Dear Lynn,
Do you miss the old days at GENERAL HOSPITAL? Do you keep in touch with any of your former castmates like Finola Hughes (Anna, now on ALL MY CHILDREN), and would you like to see her come to PC for a visit?
Jaime
Dear Jaime,
Whenever I see Finola at different events, I always say she should come to PC and do something with us. I miss everyone I worked with at GH and I do miss those days, but they can’t be recaptured because that was a different time, the scripts were written differently, and the way we were challenged was completely different. The good thing is that I still see a lot of those people, but those [executive producer] Gloria Monty days are gone.
Dear Lynn,
I read that you attended Louisiana State University. Does your family come back to Louisiana?
Val
Dear Val,
My sister and her three kids and husband still live in Lafayette, so I see them often there. And my parents just retired at the Air Force base in Shreveport and moved to North Carolina, so I was there every year until then. I still have a lot of friends in Louisiana.
Dear Lynn,
Do you prefer playing the Lucy of today, or would you rather be playing the wicked Lucy of yesterday?
Lori Montgomery
Dear Lori,
That’s hard because I like both so much. I wouldn’t change any path this crazy character has taken. The wickedness got me to where I am today! Sure, you miss playing against type and being the troublemaker who drives the story, but there’s something about being a nice heroine that’s fun too. It’s actually a lot harder to do this than be wicked, so it’s more of a challenge to make it real for the audience. So I’ll take today.
Dear Lynn,
What do you think of the vampire storylines?
Elizabeth
Dear Elizabeth,
I think they are a wonderful change and they’re very powerful, but I think the journey for us is to not overdo it and keep it based in relationships as much as possible. But I like the intrigue and sometimes just the conflict that it creates, having this other world.
Dear Lynn,
In what way do you believe former GH headwriter Claire Labine contributed to making the character of Lucy what she is today?
a.jefferson
Dear a.jefferson,
I think Claire is part Lucy! The stuff she gave me with Tony Geary (Luke, GH) — the striptease that started the Nurses Ball, that was all Claire’s — and the freedom she gave Lucy to still be kind of a good person in strange situations — those were Claire’s contributions. She really understood what zany antics could come out of this character.
Dear Lynn,
How is Mr. Northrop (Herring’s husband, Wayne, ex-Rex), these days? Any chance we’ll see him back on screen soon? Or is he having too much fun at the ranch?
Sara
Dear Sara,
It would have to be something really terrific — he’s having too much fun at the ranch! He loves being in control of his day and being outdoors and being with the people there. He’s very content, and it’s so fun that he found another passion.
Dear Lynn,
Do you like movies from the 1930s and 1940s? If so, are there any stars from that era that you particularly admire and/or any films that you’d like to star in a remake of?
Kathy
Dear Kathy,
I’d never do a remake. I see no reason to mess with those perfect films from that era. I wouldn’t dream of it. But I do love those wonderful classics from that era and everyone from Katharine Hepburn to Carole Lombard and Spencer Tracey. But it wasn’t just the acting that was great, it was the dialogue and the situations. They were so crisp and sophisticated!
Dear Lynn,
Which former characters/actors do you miss from PC?
Paula Stubblefield
Dear Paula,
I’ve really liked a lot of the people that have come and gone. You get attached to people in the story because it’s so intense for such a short amount of time. I do miss Jennifer Hammon (ex-Karen). Like Kin Shriner (Scott, GH), she has that same enthusiasm and is open to trying things, and she’s fun and happy… That’s such a nice quality to bring to the rest of your work team.
Dear Lynn,
How was it working with Ian Buchanan (Joshua; ex-Duke, GH) again?
Mary
Dear Mary,
Oh, he’s one of my favorites! He’s so talented and so funny, and he has such a dry sense of humor that I wish I had more scenes with him. He’s a great guy.
